The First Contact Physiotherapist service is provided by registered physiotherapists who are the first point of contact for patients with musculoskeletal pain within the Surgery, providing expertise and increased capacity to general practice and giving patients faster access to the right care.
As first contact practitioners our physiotherapists can provide expert assessment, diagnosis and advice on musculoskeletal conditions including;
- Back or neck pain
- Sprains or strains
- Sports injuries
- Joint or muscle pain
If appropriate they can arrange for further investigations, such as X-rays or scans and refer onward to hospital based specialists.
