Routine Appointment

To request a routine GP Consultation:

  • GP Consultations are available every weekday morning and bookable only on the day. Please phone your closest Surgery on 028 9032 3571 (Springfield Road), 028 9061 2670 (Riverdale).
  • You can also visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5.30pm

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with. Our staff are trained to ask a number of questions to determine the nature and/or emergency of your contact. We take patient confidentiality very seriously so please do give staff as much information as you can.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery

Appointments by phone can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

To cancel your appointment:

  • phone us on 028 9032 3571 (Springfield Road), 028 9061 2670 (Riverdale), Monday to Friday from 9am to 5.30pm
  • If you have received a text message reminder for your appointment you can cancel using this.

If you need help when we are closed

During lunchtime and on Wednesday afternoons we provide emergency cover only. For URGENT medical attention of a GP, please contact 07514 650507. Please note we will not deal with repeat medication enquiries during these periods.

Emergencies after 6pm and during weekends and holidays is provided by BELDOC Out of Hours (OOH) GP services. This is not a walk in service.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • All consultations with a GP are phone first, clinicians will book their own face-to-face appointments on basis of clinical need
  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs

Home visits

If you are housebound and need an clinical appointment, we may be able to facilitate this. We will phone you first to understand what you need. Please phone on any weekday morning from 8.30am to speak to a GP.
